"I am very impressed and satisfied with GreenSky Energetics' attention to detail and their ability to communicate with the other contractors on the jobsite in a commercial setting. Their commercial/industrial experience lent itself very well to keeping this project on schedule and in budget."

Outagamie County Regional Airport
Location: Appleton, Wisconsin
Classification: Commercial
Technology: Water
|
| A twelve collector drain back system preheats 600 gallons of domestic water for the airport. The collectors are arranged as two arrays of six collectors. There are five storage tanks with internal, double-wall heat exchangers. A recirculation line distributes the preheated water to four water heaters that are strategically located throughout the facility, serving restrooms and a restaurant. The water heaters are a mixture of electric and natural gas fired units. Energy monitoring provides real time information on production and system operation. Information from the monitoring system is fed to kiosk displays in the terminal and gate areas to inform the public about the technology and demonstrate energy savings. The airport maintenance team is provided e-mail alerts when the system identifies operation outside of normal parameters. |

Solar water heating uses a solar fluid pumped through a collector to capture heat from the sun. Heat from the solar fluid is transferred to water in a solar storage tank. The heated water can be used dishwashing, laundry, etc. And the heat can be diverted to help heat your home or business.
